There is a lot of buzz going around regarding barnetts newest addition to their fabulous line of arrow slinging, horizontal tack drivers. At first glance, there are two obvious attributes that tempt the average person. One being its good looks and two the fact that it shoots over four hundred feet per second. So already we have found two great benefits of the ghost – one being that it is easy on the eyes and two being that it shoots four hundred feet per second. This crossbow also has a carbon riser which does something else for the customer. If you know little about barnett’s two previous crossbow editions, then I will elaborate. Both the predator and the buck commander were great x bows, however they shared several things in common. Some of these attributes were good and others were bad. Both of them were accurate, fast, and durable. However, one of the negative comments coming from customers was that the crossbow was top heavy. That is, the riser felt heavy which made the bow feel unbalanced. If this sounds like a big problem, then hold on a second because it really isnt that big of a deal. Most reported that they got used to it, I personally loved the feel of the predator and buck commander. So here is where the ghost 400 kicks some serious tail. The new riser it boasts is made from carbon. Do you know what this means? Basically, it means that it is lighter making the crossbow feel well balanced in the shooters hand. I cant wait to test this tack drive out.
