If you have read any of my other posts regarding rifle scopes, then you know that I am somewhat of a rebel. I say the things that no one else dares to admit. In the last post on barska scopes, I stated that the only real difference in quality in my opinion were the two scopes ability to collect light for hunting in the last hour or so of legal hunting time. Anyways, today I will be talking about yet another cheap rifle scope that I happened upon after Christmas. The UTG Iden Image red dot sight for the money. I will get into the review of this red dot shortly, but first let’s talk about why so many people think scopes like these are scams. Most customers think that it is too good to be true for the price. I can’t make you people believe me, but I will tell you that this red green dot sight IS worth the thirty bucks. I have used it on a .223 and it was able to withstand the recoil and hold zero. Now, that is not to say that this sight could stand up to a big caliber like a seven mag, but there is no reason to say that it couldn’t. I am about ninety five percent positive that this red dot is made by leapers, but I could care less. If you are worried about it breaking on a high powered gun then don’t be, the vast majority of people who want a scope like this use it on .22, .223, paintball guns, and air soft. To be quite honest, that is all I really expect of this discounted shooting optic.
So what is the bottom line regarding the utg iden image red green dot sight by leapers? My review and bottom line is a big thumbs up. Is it the best shooting optic available/ Heck no, but will it get the job done for hundreds of dollars less – well it sure has for me. That’s about all I have to say about it. It has held up to recoil, it zeroed in with ease, and it is clear. Great scope for the thirty bucks.
