Remington Nitro Piston Short Stroke Review

The remginton nitro piston short stroke is quite the air rifle. If you are new to this particula niche, then you should read this article before going ahead with any other pellet gun. As it turns out, technology has advanced the common air rifle with this new nitro piston technology. I really dont feel like explaining how this whole nitrogen piston thing works, so I will simply explain how it benefits the customer.

Nitro piston technology does one thing in particular for an air rifle. The hallmark feature of this technology is that it is ultra quiet compared to many of other loud break barrel air guns. To me the Remington NPSS sounds a lot like a silenced pellet gun compared to my gamo big cat 1200 - another great plinker as well. Not only does the nitro piston short stroke send pellets at blistering speeds up to 1200 fps, it also does it with accuracy. I was getting excellent groups out to fifty yards with this gun. Of course, I was using a good rest to make sure that the groups were not dependent on my skills. The results were impressive to say the least. I got solid, one inch groups at twenty five yards and one point five inch groups at fifty yards. Quite a feat for an air rifle I maight add.

So, what is the point of all this mumbo jumbo. The bottom line is that nitro piston air rifles tend to cost around a hundred dollars more than conventional models, but they are well worth the money. After owning one myself, and reading great reviews all across the net, the remington nitro piston short stroke air rifle is an accurate, fast, and quiet pellet gun for the money. Its available on amazon for you to check out here.
