Now that the year of 2010 is over, there is a lot to look forward to in 2011. As for crossbows, there have been a great many leaps and strides this past year. So what crossbow is the best or hot buy right at the moment? There are several crossbows out there right now that are pushing the limits and hitting spot on for the money. The first I would like to review is the Barnett Jackal. This was a new crossbow for the year 2010, but a year old now. It comes with a five year warranty I believe and can send a bolt three hundred and fifteen feet per second. After monitoring forums and reviews on this crossbow for a whole year, I have found no substantial issues with this bow. This device is light, compact, and has the power to get the job done. So does this mean that it is an entry level xbow? Not in my opinion it isn’t. This bow has all of the fine new qualities and perks that the other Barnett’s have except for an extra 25 to thirty feet per second. To be honest, three hundred and fifteen feet per second is plenty of speed to harvest a deer. While on the subject of Barnett crossbows, lets talk about the Buck commander. This is a sweet crossbow folks. It is fast and quiet for a crossbow. It has a lot of power and is reasonably priced. However, the Jackal is only two hundred and fifty dollars folks. It has the same front end as the wildcat as well. For that little dough, the Barnett Jackal is tough to beat.
The next hunting crossbow on the list is the parker tornado crossbow. Parker, as many of you already know, is a well respected manufacturer when it comes to the crossbow business. The tornado is no different. It is fast, and has one of the best feeling, most compact designs of any high performance crossbow out on the market today. Through in Parker’s lifetime warranty, great customer service, a few red hot bolts, and this crossbow is tough to beat as well.
As it turns out, there are a few new players on the block for the year of 2011. Barnett recently spilled the beans on their new project - the barnett ghost 400 crossbow. Horton is also supposed to be coming out with two new products called the brotherhood and the bone collector. I believe that one will shoot three hundred fps and the other right at 320 fps. Well, that is all for now folks.
