If you didn’t know already, the work involved in sighting in a rifle has changed. With laser boresighters, it is now easier than ever to get a scope on target. To my knowledge, there are basically two different types of laser bore sighters. The coolest of the two in my opinion is the type that looks just like an actual cartridge. Because each one is made to fit a specific caliber of rifle, the boresighting device fits in the chamber just like a regular cartridge. The other type that I would like to talk about is the magnetic kind that fits on the end of the barrel. These models are really cool and usually are the most versatile. From what I have seen, these type items are more geared to the one size fits all idealism. Regardless of which type of laser boresighter you decide to use, they are a great addition to any hunters arsenal. In light of what we have been discussing today, I would like to also list three reasons why I really like these items.1. They make bore sighting a rifle a breeze. Yep, this means no more taking out the bolt, looking through the barrel on the stock end, then looking through the scope to see where the crosshairs are in relation to where the barrel is pointing. Now, all that needs to be done is to install the laser and adjust the crosshairs until they are directly on target.
2. They are affordable. I like these devices because they save me money. Yep, that’s right, I figured out that by using a laser boresighter I am actually saving money. When you think about it, every year we spend money on bullets to sight our guns in. when a scope is off, depending on the degree of which it is off, some folks end up spending a decent chunk of change on cartridges. The way I see it, a product like the aimshot laser boresighter can save a little money when sighting a rifle in.
3. Let’s face it, these things work. The last reason that I really like these products is that they work. Yep, they are accurate and good at what they do. I know that they have saved a great deal of my time as well.
